Only Used This A Couple Of Times But Instantly Pre
Only used this a couple of times but instantly preferable to my 1n and 3...and event my T90's...where it all started!

Build - Front And Top Cover Have Been C
Build -
Front and top cover have been craft from magnesium alloy, the mirror box is made from die cast aluminum so is the lens mount. The rest body is fininished in a combination of dicast aluminum and polycarbonate resin. In addition the top cover is finished with a four layer black coating that complements the rubber coating given to rest of body. Improved dust and water resistance have been built into 72 major seams and moving parts.Shutter (which is made from carbon fiber and super duralium) has been tested to 15000 cycles in order to ensure reliability.EOS 1V is handsome like Roger Moor and tough like Arnold.
Auto Focus-
45 point Area AF system.The 45 points packed within an 8 x 15mm zone and can be manually or automatically selected. AF speed is increased when the number of selected focusing points is reduced.
CMOS sensor used in EOS 1V works blistering speed.I found EOS 1V is three times faster than EOS 1N.It is faster like Shumacher's Ferrari.Autofocus speed of EOS 1V is more than enough.World's fastest.
It like a dream- quick ,silent ,accurate.

Multiple exposure (9 frames), 20 custom functions with 63 settings. Further customization is possible by linking the EOS 1V to PC .A choice of 30 personal function settings are available with EOS 1V'S software

Metering-
Evaluative,partial,center weighted (8.5 percent),spot metering (2.4 percent) spot metering is also available with 11 or 9 focusing points.Canon's evaluative metering is as good as any body else's. (My favorite metering is Matrix metering of N90S).Evaluative is very good.Only in rare situations did it under expose by about 1/2 stop.
Handling-
Like Nikon's N70 ,EOS 1V is little complicated .But don't forget this is 100% professional tool.
Performance-
You have concluded correctly ; the EOS1V'S performance is excellent.
Very highly recommended.
Negative points-
10 Fps achievable only with booster pack.
