I Have Only Owned My Mondeo 2.0 Tdci 130 Ghia X Fo
I have only owned my mondeo 2.0 tdci 130 ghia x for a fortnight but i return 50 mpg average even with towing a small trailer, I just stick to the speed limits and use 6th gear and cruise control on the motorways whenever possible ,if you try to drive it like a petrol car you will get petrol car fuel consumption,as for security ,who in their right mind would leave valuables in their car ,especialy a laptop, the insurance company must love you.
A good driver tries to drive smoothly, leave the boy racer stuff to the Top Gear team ,take advantage of the comfort and the torque of the engine and 50/55 mpg is easily achievable,if you want to tear aroud buy a Ford Puma 1.7,my previous car, mind you that still did 40/42 to the gallon,

Overall I Am Very Impressed With The Ford Mondeo 2
Overall I am very impressed with the Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi 130 Ghia X Est 5-Tronic. The security and clock need addressing, these points spoil what should be one of the best value for money cars around.

Quite A Pleasure To Drive Except For The Wind Nois
Quite a pleasure to drive except for the wind noise in your ear. The fuel computer sets a challenge to try and achieve a reasonable fuel consumption, but this is impossible. Even driving at speeds so slow that your granny would get impatient, the best consumption is around 30 to 32 miles per gallon, and as a diesel driver that is just not acceptable.
