The Screen Flickers So Much That It Is Impossible
The screen flickers so much that it is impossible to watch a football match - even changing the DRC setting didn't make a difference.
I am gutted that this TV is so bad - I hope it's a faulty set! An "Engineer" is coming to look at it tomorrow. I want my money back!

The Sony Kd-32nx100u Really Is 'the Daddy' Of 32in
The Sony KD-32NX100U really is 'The Daddy' of 32in Widescreen TV's in the UK, especially when you buy it at half price but.......... I have a minor niggle.
When using DVD, PS2, Cable there is a noticeable flicker, no matter which DRC mode I am in. It appears as a vertical band moving L-R on Cable but R-L on DVD. I tried plugging my PS2 into the front AV sockets but still a band can be seen.
Has anyone else experienced this on Sony TV's and should I be too worried about it? I doubt it has anything to do with my leads (I use an AV amp into Scart 1) but I will replace with higher quality and get back to you.
Any advice welcome, Ta.
Eveything else about this set is great, you don't even need to turn it on and it looks great. The menus are v.gd but it really needs a direct access button on the (sexy) remote for the Digital Reality Creation (DRC) functions. DRC 100 hates fast moving pictures which is really noticable on horizontal scrolling credits. The hype about DRC is well justified and it does exactly what it say on the tin! The 4x pixel increase just blows away other sets I have seen. I actually had to turn DOWN the colour for a while, it was just too good.
I can't comment on the sound or the Digital TV yet 'cos I haven't used 'em but will update the review once the new aerial is fitted.

Although I Have Have Had Three Excellent Philips 1
Although I have have had three excellent Philips 100 Hz widescreen TVs I was taken by the design and picture quality of the Sony KD-32NX100U. It has all the plus points of the Philips screens, without the slightly "soft" picture.
The picture seems to have more depth with foreground and background images having more separation. Textures on images are much more apparent.
