Sony CDP-CX230 201 Disc Changer

The Sony CDP-CX230 201 disc CD player/changer gives good sounds, good option, perfect quantity of storage (200) is not too much. Good Design. Cd Text was good option ! Time to change cd is take a little bit to much time. But i have time to waits :) This is a good sony product for price! Perfect for party. Put 200 cd and lets play !

At first glance, this 200-CD changer looks awesome! Random play, programmable text, make your own music programs, etc. etc. However, once I put in my CDs, about half of the time the selected CD gets lodged halfway between the place where it's supposed to play and the slot where it's stored. Then the carousel turns - think of a baseball card in the spokes of a bicycle tyre, except that the spokes are all of my CDs getting scratched all to hell. Now most of my CDs have serious scratches in them, and certain songs won't even play anymore. Other times, the machine tries to put a CD back into the wrong slot where there already is a CD, and it just jams it in there and this has actually broken some of my CDs right in half!!! Sure it has lots of features, but what good are these features if the machine just destroys my CDs. Very poor design, very poor quality. I will never again buy a Sony CD player.

This CD player was an Open box special at Best Buy, it didn't have the remote so we got a deal. The sound is very clear, even with the RCA outputs. It is easy to figure out and has many features. The only thing I don't really like about it is that the device is nearly 2 feet deep, so it doesn't fit right in our stereo cabinet (We had to cut the back out of ours to make it fit). A large CD changer is nice to have because you leave the CDs in the unit and they never get dirty or scratched. I would recommend the Sony to anyone looking for a good CD changer.
